YULE FIRE CANDLE

There is a certain stillness that comes with this season… a hush that settles over the land right before the Solstice flame is born again. When I poured the Yule Fire candles, I could feel that ancient presence moving through the room — the feeling of old spirits gathering, of evergreen magic pressing close, of winter revealing its quiet truths.

Each candle is adorned by hand with fresh holly berries, holly leaves, and cedar branches. These are not decorations… they are offerings. Holly brings protection and sharp clarity during the longest night, while cedar carries the breath of the forest itself — grounding, cleansing, and brave. When I place them into the wax, I do it with intention, whispering the old words under my breath, asking the returning Sun to bless every home these candles enter.

The scent is exactly what Yule feels like to me — that moment you open the door and the cold rushes in, carrying the smell of a real evergreen tree, resin and frost clinging to its branches. Spruce, cedar, juniper, bayberry, and a thread of warm spice that lingers like the memory of fire. It’s the scent of stepping into a sacred grove where the world slows, the veil softens, and the night watches you back.

I quietly released these last night during my Black Friday sale, and they’re already disappearing faster than I expected.
